An excellent opportunity exists in a regional office of this national consultancy for a qualified Consulting Pensions Actuary.
You will posses the necessary technical and communication skills to undertake this senior position as you would be an integral part of the team with responsibility for some major accounts and the ongoing development of the business.
A summary of the duties follows;
To act as the Appointed Scheme Actuary on a portfolio of up to 15 clients, ranging from Owner Managed Businesses up to multinationals
Working within a team of 6 qualified actuaries and 10 part qualified actuarial assistants
Acting as a client manager for a portfolio of clients
Being responsible for all the work undertaken by the firm for designated clients, agreeing fee budgets and arranging billing
As required, to be included in pitching for new business and managing a prospect list
To move towards managerial responsibility ? staff performance reviews for 4 actuaries and 2 senior students, management of student mentoring, advice on pay and bonus awards for 11 actuarial staff, direct management of workflow and work allocation within the actuarial team
and input into the management of the office overall
As required, to work with the Chief Actuary on projects relating to the actuarial advice issued by the company

Qualifications:
Substantial experience of Statutory Funding and scheme accounting
FFA/FIA
