Description:
To work within a team of 6 qualified actuaries and 10 part qualified actuaries
To be named assistant for up to 6 clients, with flexibility for additional client requirements
Undertaking, supervising and finalising actuarial valuations up to interim results stage and presenting results to clients
Undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19 and SFAS87)
Undertaking and supervising day to day calculations as requested by the administration team
To undertake work for the Chief Actuary on projects relating to actuarial advice issued by the company, where requested
To build up consulting capabilities on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension plans
On qualification, to progress towards obtaining a Scheme Actuary certificate
Once qualified, hold responsibility for a portfolio of clients and act as a client manager for a number of these
Qualifications:
Substantial experience of Statutory Funding, accounting standards,
Knowledge of Microsoft IT products and SuperVal would be
advantageous
Qualifications ? targeting to qualify as FIA/FFA within 2 years
